what she says: im fine
what she means: why do people not talk about soul punk? patrick stump was in one of the most successful bands of the early 2000s, so why did soul punk not get any recognition? that album was so good, and people went as far as to buy tickets to his shows to hate on his music? I get that people missed fall out boy, but patrick worked so hard on that album. he wrote all of the songs, sang all of the lyrics, and played all of the instruments on that thing. he slaved over soul punk, and it came out as a fucking awesome album. it talked about a ton of problems that humans as a whole go through like fear with explode, cheating with the “I” in lie, and alcoholism with run dry. plus patrick’s vocals were flawless. have you heard those runs in dance miserable? have you ever tried to sing a song off of soul punk yourself? that man has at least like 5 lungs. plus the instrumentation. how can you say that patrick put no effort into soul punk when he played ALL OF THE INSTRUMENTS ON IT. I just cannot believe people have the nerve to bash soul punk just because it’s “different” or “too techno” or “uninspired”. soul punk was a masterpiece that deserved just as much as love as he put into it.
